A fire broke out at a residential area in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City on Sunday evening. According to Olan Bola”s report on Super Radyo dzBB, the fire hit houses on San Pascual Street in Barangay Commonwealth.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confiscated over P1.224 million in illegal firecrackers in its enforcement operations across the country as of Sunday, or three days before the New Year”s Eve revelry. In a statement, the PNP said it has seized 79,953 pieces of illegal firecrackers valued at P1,224,909 as of 7 a.m. of December 28.
Italy arrests nine over alleged Hamas funding through charities
ROME – Italian prosecutors said on Saturday they had arrested nine people on suspicion of financing Hamas through charities based in Italy, in an operation coordinated by anti-mafia and anti-terrorism units.
