Radicals train for massive May Day protests at public schools, thanks to America’s largest teachers’ union
Defending Education, an advocacy organization that combats leftist indoctrination in K-12 public schools, recently obtained documents outlining the talking points and marching orders being fed to radicals ahead of leftist May Day protests planned across the country.
Among the leftist outfits poised to train would-be protesters is the Midwest Academy, a liberal activist-grooming center that has reportedly received over $1.7 million in recent years from the National Education Association.

The Midwest Academy, joined by the the NYU Metro Center and organizers from Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools member groups, is coordinating a four-week training series titled “Four Weeks of Power” with the purported aim of building “a broader, stronger base of parents, educators and students taking action to defend and transform public schools.”
Although organized by the NEA-backed outfit, sessions will be provided by the leftist organization Free the Future, part of the NEA-aligned Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools network.
Free the Future will start off the sessions by providing “an introduction to community organizing in the context of the rising authoritarianism we’re seeing in real time.” Free the Future will conclude the sessions by helping fellow travelers “better understand power mapping and targets, understanding which actions make sense for our team and community, and the logistics of planning a successful action.”

Free the Future is evidently keen to train up radicals with the NEA-backed group in time for mass protests on May 1. Free the Future has partnered with May Day Strong “to plan hundreds of actions in the streets” next month.
May Day Strong’s tool kit reveals that radicals are reskinning their No Kings protests for May Day.
The tool kit recommends not only protesting outside lawmakers’ offices and “one of the many corporate targets we need to take on,” but that radicals stage “school walk-ins” and rally outside schools.
Hilton Hotels, Chevron, Citgo, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car are the corporations targeted by May Day Strong.
The organizers have furnished would-be protesters with a template press release that contains the following talking points:
- “Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first.”
- “No ICE, NO War. No private army serving authoritarian power.”
- “Expand democracy, not corporate rule. Defend free and fair elections.”
NEA’s official May Day 2026 “Solidarity Toolkit,” which is greatly similar to the May Day Strong tool kit right down to the advocacy for school walk-ins, states, “This May Day will be a day of rallies, marches, teach-ins, labor actions, and a refusal of business as usual — because when those at the top rig the system, collective action is how we set it right.”
According to NEA’s tool kit, “walk-ins” seem to involve a school invasion:
During school walk-ins, parents, educators, and students, along with neighbors and community leaders, gather in front of their school 30-45 minutes before the school day begins. We rally and listen to a few speakers discuss what they want for the school, and then we all walk into the school together. Walk-ins can be used to celebrate your school, collaborate with school officials, or protest harmful school conditions and policies.
Rhyen Staley, director of research at Defending Education, said in a statement obtained by Blaze News, “This is yet another example of how activists and teachers’ unions view schools as a tool to advance their political agenda.”
“It should be deeply concerning that one of the suggested tactics is to enter schools to protest against policies they don’t like,” continued Staley. “Putting children’s education and safety at risk for political gain is unethical and immoral.”
Corey DeAngelis, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Education Policy, told Blaze News, “Congress should revoke the NEA’s federal charter or at least bar them from engaging in political activity altogether.”
DeAngelis noted further, “These radicals are providing free advertising for homeschooling, showing us exactly who they are, and parents need to pull their kids out of these institutions.”
Becky Pringle, the Democrat NEA president who reportedly made over $500,000 while fighting to keep schools closed at kids’ expense between September 2020 and August 2021, made clear in her keynote address at last year’s National Education Association convention that her union is committed to undermining the Trump administration.
“We must use our power to take action that leads, action that liberates, action that lasts,” Pringle said in her speech.
At the convention, the NEA adopted a resolution declaring its support for mass movements against the government, including No Kings protests and anti-ICE rallies.

Minnesota police FINALLY fight back: Cops hit violent anti-ICE mob with tear gas, arrests outside hotel supposedly housing feds
Radicals swarmed a hotel in Maple Grove, Minnesota, on Monday night, working under the presumption that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino was inside. While some in the mob appeared keen at the outset to simply scream, bang their pans, and impotently blow whistles in protest of CBP and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, others decided to get violent.
The Maple Grove Police Department, which responded around 8 p.m. to reports of a protest at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, demonstrated that it has a lower tolerance for attacks on law enforcement than their local counterparts in Minneapolis — and the proof manifested in tear gas and arrests.
‘These violent anarchists will not deter ICE from carrying out the American people’s mandate.’
“The situation escalated when individuals in the crowd engaged in unlawful behavior,” the MGPD said in a statement. “Property damage occurred, and objects were thrown at officers. At that point, the activity was no longer considered peaceful.”
After declaring the mob action an unlawful assembly, police issued a dispersal order. Footage shows police securing the area around the hotel, standing off with radicals, then systematically driving away the mob.
In addition to using pepper balls, Maple Grove police — who were assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office hours after President Donald Trump had positive calls with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) — apparently utilized tear gas to drive away rioters.

Police told CNN that approximately 26 people were arrested outside the hotel.
Radicals advertised the anti-Border Patrol rally as a “Goodbye Bovino Noise Demo.”
Blaze News has reached out to the hotel and Marriott for comment.
The evening before the riot in Maple Grove, leftists stormed a hotel in Minneapolis where they believed federal immigration agents were staying. Radicals vandalized the Home2 Suites by Hilton Hotel late Sunday, smashing windows and throwing debris into the lobby.
Footage shows a solitary, bloody federal agent holding his ground at one stage in the evening while radicals assembled in front of the hotel. According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, federal agents successfully cleared that group with the help of chemical irritants.
The Department of Homeland Security indicated that the Sunday hotel attack was “part of a coordinated campaign of violence against law enforcement.”
“These violent anarchists will not deter ICE from carrying out the American people’s mandate to arrest and deport the worst of the worst,” added the DHS.

‘You are on notice!’ Don Lemon backs anti-ICE radicals who stormed Saint Paul church — but DOJ vows reckoning
Ex-CNN talking head Don Lemon joined other radicals in storming a Christian church on Sunday in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The White House and the Department of Justice indicated that those who disrupted the service, intimidated churchgoers, and screamed incessantly at the altar about Renee Good — a subversive who died driving her SUV into a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent — may soon face a reckoning.
Rushing the altar
Radicals from Racial Justice Network, Black Lives Matter Minnesota, and BLM Twin Cities assembled on Sunday for a so-called “ICE Out Action.” Rather than interfere with ICE operations like the woman whose name was on their lips, they rushed into Cities Church and did their best to drown out sounds of worship.
‘A house of worship is not a public forum for your protest!’
Nekima Levy Armstrong, founder of the Racial Justice Network and former president of the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP, claimed responsibility for the disruption and indicated that Cities Church was targeted because “David Easterwood is a Pastor at this church and the Acting Field Director for the ICE office in St. Paul.”
Footage from an October Department of Homeland Security press conference appears to feature the same David Easterwood who is pictured on the church’s website. Blaze News has reached out to ICE and Cities Church for comment.
“It’s time for judgment to begin,” said Armstrong.
The mob refused requests from church officials to leave the premises and instead screamed and chanted in the aisles and pews.
In one video of the mob action, Armstrong yells, “Someone who claims to worship God, teaching people in this church about God, is out there overseeing ICE agents. Think about what we experienced. The murder of Renee Good at the hands of ICE. A Venezuelan national shot by ICE.”

After alluding to two individuals who were shot, one fatally, while allegedly attacking federal agents, Armstrong yelled, “How dare you claim to be a pastor of God? … You are involved in evil in our community.”
In another potentially incriminating video that BLM Minnesota shared online, radicals can be seen blocking the altar, yelling Renee Good’s name, and pressing parishioners individually to answer whether they support ICE. One pair of visibly upset churchgoers can be seen in the video comforting one another while the radicals angrily condemn members of law enforcement.
Don Lemon, posing as a journalist on the scene, advocated for the mob action, stating, “There’s nothing in the Constitution that tells you what time you can protest. You can protest at any time. That’s the whole point of it — is to disrupt, is to make uncomfortable, and that’s what they’re doing, and that’s what I believe when I say everyone has to be willing to sacrifice something. You have to make people uncomfortable in these times.”
Lemon — who suggested in October that “black people, brown people” should take up arms against ICE — lectured lead Pastor Jonathan Parnell after Parnell said the mob action was “unacceptable” and that it was “shameful to interrupt a public gathering of Christians in worship.”

“There’s a Constitution and the First Amendment to freedom of speech and freedom to assemble and protest,” Lemon told Parnell, excusing the mob’s interference and intimidation tactics.
Federal response
“President Trump will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “The Department of Justice has launched a full investigation into the despicable incident that took place earlier today at a church in Minnesota.”
Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon indicated that her office was looking into potential violations of the the Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act “by these people desecrating a house of worship and interfering with Christian worshippers.” Dhillon noted further that the FBI had been “activated too!”
Although liberally and primarily used by the previous administration to lock up pro-life activists, the FACE ACT also prohibits the use of force, threat of force, or physical obstruction to injure, intimidate, or interfere with any person lawfully exercising or seeking to exercise their First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.
Violations can result in prison time and hefty fines as well as civil lawsuits.
Dhillon said in response to Lemon’s defense of the mob action, “A house of worship is not a public forum for your protest! It is a space protected from exactly such acts by federal criminal and civil laws! Nor does the First Amendment protect your pseudo journalism of disrupting a prayer service. You are on notice!”
After speaking with Pastor Parnell and Dhillon, Attorney General Pam Bondi stated, “Attacks against law enforcement and the intimidation of Christians are being met with the full force of federal law.”
“If state leaders refuse to act responsibly to prevent lawlessness, this Department of Justice will remain mobilized to prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails,” added Bondi.
