‘Money hungry Jews’: Mamdani appointee abruptly quits after her anti-Semitic online posts resurface

An appointee for New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, abruptly resigned after the Anti-Defamation League of New York and New Jersey exposed her past anti-Semitic social media posts.
On Wednesday, Mamdani announced that Catherine Almonte Da Costa would be his director of appointments.
‘As this has become a distraction from the work at hand, I have offered my resignation.’
The ADL responded to the nomination by highlighting Da Costa’s numerous anti-Jewish online comments.
“Her social media footprint includes posts from more than a decade ago that echo classic antisemitic tropes and otherwise demean Jewish people. … We appreciate Da Costa has relationships with members of the Jewish community, but her posts require immediate explanation — not just from Ms. Da Costa, but also from the Mayor-Elect,” the ADL wrote.
The ADL continued, “Vetting the appointment of city leaders will be Ms. Da Costa’s responsibility and the Jewish community deserves to know: 1) Were these comments previously identified by the Mayor-elect’s team? If so, why were they excused? 2) What will be the policy of the new Administration if comments like these are discovered during the vetting process?”
The ADL’s post included screenshots of three X posts from Da Costa’s account, which has since been removed.

“Money hungry Jews smh,” Da Costa apparently wrote in January 2011 on then-Twitter, presumably using an abbreviation for “shaking my head,” an expression of disapproval.
“Woo! Promoted to the upstairs office today! Working alongside these rich Jewish peeps,” she apparently wrote later that year.
“Far Rockaway train is the Jew train,” a third post read from June 2012.
In 2020, Da Costa posted anti-cop sentiments, calling for the defunding of the New York Police Department by $1 billion in the upcoming fiscal year to “get cops out of our schools & subways,” the New York Post reported.

Da Costa announced her resignation on Thursday, following the resurfaced posts.
“I spoke with the mayor-elect this afternoon, apologized, and expressed my deep regret for my past statements,” Da Costa said. “These statements are not indicative of who I am. As the mother of Jewish children, I feel a profound sense of sadness and remorse at the harm these words have caused. As this has become a distraction from the work at hand, I have offered my resignation.”
In a separate statement, she contended that her “tweets from well over a decade ago … do not in any way, shape, or form reflect who I am or my views and beliefs today.”
Mamdani called Da Costa’s past remarks “unacceptable,” adding that the posts “absolutely do not represent him or the values of his administration.”
“Catherine expressed her deep remorse over her past statements and tendered her resignation, and I accepted,” he added.

Trump cracks jokes with Mamdani in cordial Oval Office meeting: ‘I’ve been called much worse’

President Donald Trump and New York City’s Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani cracked jokes during a surprisingly cordial meeting in the Oval Office on Friday.
Mamdani arrived at the White House Friday afternoon for his highly anticipated meeting with Trump, leaving many to speculate if their interactions would be friendly or fiery. After the meeting, both politicians maintained that the meeting went well with a common focus on affordability, with Trump even slipping in a few jokes to lighten the mood.
‘I met with a man who’s a very rational person.’
Mamdani was confronted by a reporter about his previous characterizations of Trump as a “despot.”
“I’ve been called much worse than a despot,” Trump quipped. “So it’s not that insulting. I think he’ll change his mind after we get to working together.”

Trump also interrupted Mamdani with a lighthearted comment on another occasion when Mamdani was pressed about calling the president a “fascist.”
“That’s OK, you can just say yes,” Trump said, patting Mamdani on the shoulder. “That’s easier than explaining. I don’t mind.”
Mamdani promptly agreed with Trump and refrained from elaborating on his past comments.

Alongside the many moments where the two joked about contentious remarks they’ve made about each other, both Trump and Mamdani agreed on key issues like affordability and cost of living. Trump acknowledged that their solutions to these issues would likely be different, but he cordially praised Mamdani as a “rational person” who sincerely wants New York City to succeed.
“I met with a man who’s a very rational person,” Trump said. “I met with a man who really wants to see New York be great again.”
“I’ll be cheering for him.”

Nick Fuentes: American Leftist

‘Furry’ Democrat running for Congress celebrated Kirk assassination, wants to put MAGA voters in ‘hard labor camps’

Graham Platner, the oyster farmer running for the U.S. Senate in Maine, was exposed last month for making a number of damning comments on social media — including posts where he apparently identified as a communist, branded rural white Americans as racists, suggested that service members worried about being raped should buy “Kevlar underwear,” and smeared all police officers as “bastards.”
Although he has since covered it up, Platner was also outed for having a tattoo of a skull image similar to that popularized by Adolf Hitler’s SS elite Nazi guard.
It appears that Platner, who enjoys the continued support from lawmakers including Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), is far from the most radical candidate seeking election as a Democrat in 2026.
The homosexual socialist running as a Democrat to represent Michigan’s 7th district in Congress has engaged in bloodthirsty and inflammatory rhetoric that makes Platner’s remarks seem tame by comparison.
‘Radical far-left lunatics like Samuel Smeltzer expose the liberal brain rot that is now the current state of the Democrat Party.’
Samuel Smeltzer, a 36-year-old IT contractor who calls himself Elyon Badger and dresses up in an anthropomorphic “furry” costume, has not only stated that “America deserved 9/11,” called Jesus “a communist,” recommended killing billionaires, labeled Israel as “an enemy of the United States,” advocated the imprisonment of all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, and repeatedly celebrated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination, calling him a “massive loser.”
Within an hour of Kirk’s passing, Smeltzer wrote on the liberal X knockoff Bluesky, “Good things can happen.” Days later, he shared an image of the murdered father of two with the caption, “How can we defeat evil, if evil is mourned when it’s defeated?”

To ensure there was no mistaking his antipathy for the murder victim, the Democratic candidate smeared Kirk as a “white supremacist who preached stochastic terrorism” in an official campaign statement, blaming the shooting on “gun loving Conservative Christians.”
The National Republican Congressional Committee called Smeltzer’s remarks about Kirk both “dangerous and disgusting” but noted they were unsurprising when only 38% of Democrats think it’s always unacceptable to feel joy about the death of a public figure they oppose.
Despite his website promising “compassionate leadership for a just future,” Smeltzer vowed in a recent post to “round up EVER [sic] SINGLE red hat wearing MAGA and put them in hard labor camps for the rest of their lives.”
While locking up those with whom he disagrees appears to be one of his key objectives, Smeltzer told the Washington Free Beacon that he is running a “health care and tax-the-rich campaign” and would use a role in Congress to advocate for his fellow “furry” fetishists.
“The furry community is the ultimate form of freedom in America, and that’s why conservatives hate it and the queer community so much,” he told the Beacon.
Smeltzer recently told the LGBT magazine Between the Lines, “The reason I’m leaning into the furry side of things is the Heritage Foundation has targeted the furry community.”
“They’re going after the queer spaces and organizations where we are allowed to express creative freedom,” the self-identified Democratic socialist added.
Smeltzer claimed that other candidates in the Democratic primary like former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink “can only trudge along and drag this broken cart through the mud; they can’t fix it.”
Brink reportedly did not respond to the Beacon’s request for comment.
NRCC spokesman Zach Bannon noted earlier this year, “Radical far-left lunatics like Samuel Smeltzer expose the liberal brain rot that is now the current state of the Democrat Party.”
Blaze News has reached out to the Michigan Democratic Party as well as Rep. Tom Barrett, the Republican who presently represents Michigan’s 7th congressional district and is running for a second term, for comment.
