Vice President JD Vance unleashed holy hell on CNN Thursday, torching their “disgraceful” coverage of a deadly ICE shootout in Minneapolis that left a radical activist dead – and accusing the fake news giant of endangering America’s heroes in blue.
‘You should be ashamed’: Vance fires back at media for forgetting key details about Minnesota ICE shooting
At a Thursday press briefing at the White House, Vice President JD Vance had some choice words for the corporate media, which have been caught leaving out key details about the fatal ICE shooting in Minneapolis — especially the context for the agent involved.
Vance was referring to the deportation operation that turned deadly on Wednesday after an ICE officer was forced to defend himself from an aggravated driver. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Macklin Good, was fatally shot by the ICE agent.
‘Everybody who has been repeating the lie that this is some innocent woman who was out for a drive in Minneapolis when a law enforcement officer shot at her — you should be ashamed of yourselves.’
The incident may have sparked a sense of déjà vu for the agent since this wasn’t his first brush with vehicular violence while on the job. Video evidence emerged of a similar attack involving the same agent from June.
Addressing a slanted headline from CNN — which he read as: “Outrage after ICE officer kills U.S. citizen in Minneapolis” — Vance said at the press briefing, “Everybody who has been repeating the lie that this is some innocent woman who was out for a drive in Minneapolis when a law enforcement officer shot at her — you should be ashamed of yourselves. Every single one of you.”
“What that headline leaves out is the fact that that very ICE officer nearly had his life ended, dragged by a car six months ago, 33 stitches in his leg. So you think maybe he’s a little bit sensitive about somebody ramming him with an automobile?” Vance asked.
“What that headline leaves out is that that woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation in the United States of America,” Vance added angrily. “What that headline leaves out is that that woman is part of a broader left-wing network to attack, to doxx, to assault, and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job.”
“If the media wants to tell the truth, they ought to tell the truth that a group of left-wing radicals have been working tirelessly, sometimes using domestic terror techniques, to try to make it impossible for the president of the United States to do what the American people elected him to do, which is enforce our immigration laws,” he added.
“The way that the media, by and large, has reported this story has been an absolute disgrace, and it puts our law enforcement officers at risk every single day.”
Blaze News could not find a CNN article that matched the headline read by Vance, though the outlet has published many articles about the incident, including “What we know about ICE’s fatal shooting of a US citizen in Minneapolis” and “Mother of 3 who loved to sing and write poetry shot and killed by ICE in Minneapolis.”

‘Julia,’ son of wealthy Democrat donor, identified as suspect in Vance home attack
The 26-year-old man who allegedly attacked the Cincinnati home of Vice President JD Vance early Monday morning appears to be yet another radical transvestite.
Just hours after the vice president concluded his visit to the city and departed for the national capital, a suspect armed with a hammer was spotted by U.S. Secret Service agents running along the front fence, then breaching the perimeter of Vance’s Ohio house.
‘As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in.’
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cincinnati indicated in a release that the suspect, William DeFoor, was ordered to stop and drop the hammer after he allegedly attempted to break the window of a USSS vehicle blocking the driveway entrance. DeFoor allegedly refused to comply and proceeded to smash the front windows of Vance’s house — windows apparently equipped with “enhanced security assets.”
After reportedly inflicting over $28,000 in damage, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was swiftly captured by USSS agents and Cincinnati police officers.
William DeFoor was initially charged with criminal trespass, criminal damaging or endangering, obstructing official business, and felony vandalism. He has since been slapped with several federal charges: damaging government property, engaging in physical violence against any person or property in a restricted building or grounds, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers.
Vance noted in a statement on Monday: “As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows.”
The vice president appears to have been right on the money.

On social media, DeFoor — whom law enforcement identified as a male — appears to go by the name Julia.
A Facebook profile that appears to belong to the suspect claims that DeFoor, identified as Julia, is a student at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College who previously studied at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music and attended the Summit Country Day School, a private high school where he made the list of candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program in 2018.
DeFoor’s account appears to have liked the Cincinnati-based leftist group Coalition for Community Safety as well as the trans advocacy group Heartland Trans Wellness.
FBI sources told Fox News that the suspect demanded to be called “Julia” at the time of his arrest.
Court documents indicate that DeFoor pleaded guilty in April 2025 to two counts of vandalism after he inflicted over $2,000 in damage upon an Ohio interior design company, reported WXIX-TV. DeFoor was sentenced to two years of treatment at a mental health facility and ordered to pay $5,550 in restitution.
In 2023, DeFoor was reportedly charged with trespassing at UC Health psychiatric emergency services but ultimately was found mentally incompetent to stand trial.
DeFoor’s father, identified by the New York Post as William DeFoor, appears to be an affluent pediatric urologist who works as a professor at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine. Among his top research interests is pediatric genitourinary reconstruction. His bio on the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital website states that he is an elder in his church, is married to a general pediatrician, and has three teenage children.

Vandal in custody after brazen attack on JD Vance’s Ohio home
U.S. Secret Service personnel captured a 26-year-old man who allegedly attacked the Cincinnati home of Vice President JD Vance early Monday morning.
Hamilton County Justice Center records indicate that the suspect, William DeFoor, has been charged with criminal trespass, criminal damaging or endangering, obstructing official business, and felony vandalism.
Vance expressed gratitude to the U.S. Secret Service and the Cincinnati police and noted, “As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows.”
‘We try to protect our kids as much as possible.’
The vice president indicated that he and his family were not home at the time of the “attack” as they had already returned to the national capital. While the Vance family was in Cincinnati last week, they reportedly left on Sunday afternoon.
Two law enforcement officials who spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity indicated that the Secret Service heard a commotion at the house around midnight and found that an individual had not only vandalized a Secret Service vehicle parked in the driveway but had smashed a window and was attempting to steal into the house.

According to an arrest report obtained by WLWT-TV, the suspect — who has since been taken into custody by the Cincinnati Police Department — was spotted both by a USSS agent as well as on security footage damaging four windows along with the vehicle.
USSS spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that the suspect was detained shortly after midnight.

There has been an outpouring of support for the vice president in the wake of the incident. While many have signaled relief the Vance family is OK, others have questioned how a miscreant could get so close to their home in the first place.
In the wake of the incident, Vance emphasized that “we try to protect our kids as much as possible from the realities of this life of public service,” and he intimated that the news media shouldn’t circulate images of his home with holes in the window.
This is hardly the first time that a maladjusted individual has descended on one of Vance’s residences.
In April, a mob of liberals rallied outside the vice president’s Washington, D.C., residence, vilifying him and calling him a “fascist” as well as “America’s Himmler,” referring to the architect of Nazi Germany’s so-called “final solution,” Heinrich Himmler.
One month earlier, another mob of liberals assembled outside Vance’s Cincinnati home to protest actions taken by the Trump administration.

‘Something historic’: CNN analyst GOBSMACKED by how Vance polls against Nikki Haley, others
The 2028 presidential election is 34 months away, and in that time, there are sure to be plenty of surprises. There are, however, already clear signs of who may ultimately make a bid for the White House — and how they might fare in the primaries.
CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, expressed surprise on Monday by how Vice President JD Vance performed in a recent poll of likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters against former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nimarata “Nikki” Haley, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and other prospects.
‘The rest of the field are like going around in go-karts.’
Enten alluded to prediction market odds indicating that Vance is “running well ahead of the field” and that “nobody else is even close.”
Polymarket puts Vance’s chance of becoming the Republican presidential nominee in 2028 at 54%. The site has the chances of the runner-up, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, securing the nomination at 9%. This high confidence in Vance’s chances is similarly expressed on the PredictIt site as well as on the federally regulated prediction market Kalshi, which suggests Vance and Rubio have a 48% and 10% chance of securing the nomination, respectively.
“JD Vance is like Mario Andretti, and Marco Rubio and the rest of the field are like going around in go-karts at this point,” said Enten. “That’s really what we are looking at. JD Vance is the clear, heavy favorite at this time.”
Enten noted that Vance’s staggering early lead reflected in the prediction markets “is not coming out of nowhere” and directed CNN talking head Sara Sidner’s attention to a poll conducted in October by the University of New Hampshire.

The poll found that among those who plan to vote in the 2028 Republican presidential primary in New Hampshire, 51% said they would vote for Vance; 9% said they would vote for Haley; 8% said they would vote for Gabbard; 5% said they would vote for Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders; 4% would vote for Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.); and 3% each would vote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis or Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Calgary-born Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who appears poised to run as the kind of Republican President Donald Trump crushed in the 2016 and 2024 GOP primaries, proved unable to capture 1% in the poll.
“Take a look here! JD Vance at 51%!” said Enten. “The next closest is Nikki Haley, who’s at 9 — who’s at 9! I mean, what is that? That’s 42 points ahead of the pack.”
“There’s a reason why he’s such a heavy favorite in the prediction market so far, because if you win the GOP primary in New Hampshire, chances are, you’re going to be the Republican nominee for president,” added Enten.
When asked by Sidner whether it was rare to see an early lead of this magnitude, Enten said, “I looked back. Hitting 50% plus in the early New Hampshire polls for a non-sitting president — JD Vance is the only one.”
“JD Vance is pulling off something historic at this time,” continued Enten.
While Vance’s early lead is unprecedented, the last five sitting vice presidents who ran for president all became their parties’ nominees.
A straw poll was also taken earlier this month at Turning Point USA’s annual AmericaFest, where widowed CEO Erika Kirk endorsed the vice president.
Blake Neff, the producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” noted that Vance won the AmFest straw poll “by more than Donald Trump won the 2024 one we did two years ago.” Whereas 82.6% of respondents previously said they wanted to see Trump as the 2024 GOP nominee, 84.2% of respondents said they wanted to see Vance as their nominee in 2028.
The UNH poll that found a majority of likely GOP voters support Vance likewise found that there is a much closer race developing across the aisle.
Among those who plan to vote in the 2028 Democratic presidential primary in New Hampshire, 19% of respondents say they would vote for former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg; 15% would vote for California Gov. Gavin Newsom; 14% would vote for New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; 11% would vote for failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris; 8% would vote for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.); and 6% would vote for Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
