Democrats melt down as Kennedy Center board votes unanimously to rename building to honor Trump
Democrats are up in arms after Trump’s White House announced that the Kennedy Center will be renamed in honor of President Donald Trump for his restoration efforts.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will be renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building,” Leavitt said. “Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation. Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future!”

“The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur,” Leavitt added.
“The Trump Kennedy Center shows a bipartisan commitment to the Arts,” Richard Grenell said on X.
Maria Shriver, John F. Kennedy’s niece, posted a lengthy statement complaining about the move.
“It is beyond comprehension that this sitting president has sought to rename this great memorial dedicated to President Kennedy. It is beyond wild that he would think adding his name in front of President Kennedy’s name is acceptable. It is not. Next thing perhaps he will want to rename JFK Airport, rename the Lincoln Memorial, the Trump Lincoln Memorial. The Trump Jefferson Memorial. The Trump Smithsonian. The list goes on,” Shriver wrote in part on Thursday.
President Trump praised the “very distinguished” Kennedy Center board for the “unanimous” vote to change the name of the center.
However, several Democratic congressmen who are also ex officio members of the Kennedy Center board issued a statement complaining that they were silenced during the vote for this change.
In part, their statement read, “This whole process displays the corruption that permeates the entire Trump administration, and as ex-officio members of the Kennedy Center Board, we will be unwavering in our commitment to holding this administration accountable.”
The Democrats, however, failed to mention that as ex officio members of the board, they do not have a vote, meaning their input was never needed and does not affect the unanimity of the vote.
On Friday afternoon, videos were posted of the addition of Donald Trump’s name on the facade of the building. It now reads: “The Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.”
The Trump-Kennedy Center did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rapper Cardi B calls America ‘ghetto’ and complains about JD Vance in rant praising Saudi Arabia
Rapper Cardi B criticized “ghetto” America and praised Saudi Arabia for being cleaner and stricter in a streaming video from her overseas tour.
She complained that the U.S. vice president had criticized her, and she told her fans to convince her to move back to the U.S. She also said that Saudi Arabia was very wealthy and clean.

The rapper made the comments on an Instagram live video.
“I’m in Saudi Arabia and, so far, let me tell y’all about my experience. It’s very strict out here, yeah. They will put you under the jail,” she said in the video. “They ain’t playing around. You will go to prison. Mess around and you’ll find out. Absolutely. However, it’s very easy to follow the rules here.”
She said that the rules were very simple to follow and admonished her followers to stop drinking alcohol and to abstain from sex.
“They treat me like I’m their queen!” she added, saying that everyone was kind and polite, in contrast to Americans.
“I’m starting not to like America,” she continued. “America makes me pay taxes. The vice president is talking s**t about me on Twitter. I don’t feel real appreciated in America. Y’all need to convince me to come back.”
She was referring to a post from Vice President JD Vance where he posted support for Nikki Minaj in her longtime feud with Cardi B.
“It’s ghetto over there!” she said of America.
She went on to say that she had previously avoided touring in Saudi Arabia over their restrictions on gays and women. She said it only punished her fans to avoid the country.

She also said the food and the shopping in Saudi Arabia were great.
The rapper recently celebrated having a child with Stefon Diggs, the wide receiver on the New England Patriots football team.

US military attacks dozens of ISIS targets in Syria in retaliation for killing of 2 US troops, Hegseth says
The United States military struck ISIS terrorists on Friday after two U.S. service members were killed along with an interpreter, according to Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Fox News reported that over 70 targets were struck in the operation that included “ISIS infrastructure and weapons storage sites,” according to a top U.S. official.
‘This is not the beginning of a war — it is a declaration of vengeance.’
“Earlier today, U.S. forces commenced OPERATION HAWKEYE STRIKE in Syria to eliminate ISIS fighters, infrastructure, and weapons sites in direct response to the attack on U.S. forces that occurred on December 13th in Palmyra, Syria,” Hegseth wrote on social media.
A lone Islamic State gunman ambushed the U.S. forces in Palmyra, which also left three other U.S. soldiers wounded. President Donald Trump vowed “very serious retaliation” at the time.
There are about 900 U.S. troops currently in Syria.
“This is not the beginning of a war — it is a declaration of vengeance,” Hegseth added. “The United States of America, under President Trump’s leadership, will never hesitate and never relent to defend our people.”
The attack had been the first to cause U.S. fatalities since the end of the Assad regime in 2014. Bashar al-Assad and his family fled to Russia after Turkish-backed Islamic militants successfully seized control of the government.

“As we said directly following the savage attack, if you target Americans — anywhere in the world — you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you,” Hegseth continued.
“Today, we hunted and we killed our enemies,” he added. “Lots of them. And we will continue.”

VIDEO: Sheriff mocks ‘idiots’ who mistook cops for ICE and disrupted operation against alleged drug dealers
An Arizona sheriff derided protesters who interrupted a drug bust because they had mistaken regular cops for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
Pinal County Sheriff Ross Teeple said the small group of protesters yelled obscenities and insults at his deputies on Dec. 11 after the police investigation ended up in Phoenix.
‘While they’re there throwing tantrums, we’re throwing handcuffs on bad guys.’
“PCSO deputies out there doing an amazing job, arresting bad guys, getting dangerous drugs off the street, and you have idiots showing up, protesting and thinking they’re ICE,” he added.
Teeple said in the video posted to Facebook that despite the protesters accosting his officers, they were able to seize a firearm as well as two kilograms of cocaine.
“Two people that were arrested? Both U.S. citizens. How ironic is that?” he added.
“This is ridiculous, guys. You have full uniformed deputies on scene, marked vehicles, and you still want to protest the police doing their job,” Teeple said.
The video included some of the footage showing protesters calling the officers “sellouts” and “motherf**kers” while the police laughed at them.
“While they’re there throwing tantrums, we’re throwing handcuffs on bad guys,” Teeple added. “Deputies did an amazing job putting up with their BS.”

This was not the first time anti-ICE protesters interrupted a police operation in Pinal County. In June, Teeple said that protesters got in the way of a police action that ended in the seizure of four firearms, five million fentanyl pills, 32 pounds of cocaine, and 22 pounds of meth.
“You can do better,” Teeple concluded. “It’s an honor to serve.”
