‘Blood on their hands’: Trump admin blames ‘sanctuary’ Dems after illegal alien with detainer request allegedly murders American
An illegal alien from El Salvador allegedly killed a U.S. citizen the day after being released, despite a detainer request from federal immigration officials.
Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez was released from a Fairfax, Virginia, jail after county officials dropped several violent criminal charges against him in addition to ignoring the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

Morales-Ortez allegedly shot and killed a 40-year-old man, Marvin Ernesto Morales, at a residence in Reston. After he fled, police were able to find and arrest him. He was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
A spokesperson for ICE blamed local officials for the preventable death.
“Fairfax County failed the victim by refusing to work with ICE and releasing this criminal alien onto Virginia streets instead of safely into ICE custody,” the spokesperson said. “If Fairfax County would have simply worked to uphold our nation’s laws, then this tragedy may have never happened.”
The Department of Homeland Security went further in a statement on social media.
“The sanctuary politicians of Fairfax County, VA have blood on their hands,” reads a statement from the agency’s official account.
“The day after Fairfax County REFUSED to hand over Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador, to ICE he allegedly MURDERED an American citizen,” they added. “He has a prior history of aggravated assault, larceny, assault on a law enforcement officer, weapons charges and other misdemeanor offenses.”
Most Fairfax County officials, including Sheriff Stacey Kincaid and almost every member of the Board of Supervisors, are Democrats.
After Morales-Ortez was released from jail on Tuesday, a Community Services Board did obtain an emergency order to have police take him into custody, according to the Fairfax County Police. However, the order was valid for only eight hours, and police were unable to find him before it expired.
Prosecutors are accused of ignoring the detainer, not notifying federal officials when Morales-Ortez was being released, and dropping criminal charges against him in numerous cases.

The White House also released a statement condemning Fairfax officials.
“This tragic case is a prime example of what happens when Democrats choose to side with criminal illegal aliens over American citizens,” the statement reads. “This monster should’ve never been allowed to roam free in American communities. The Trump administration will continue our efforts to deport all criminal illegal aliens and Make America Safe Again, despite unrelenting Democrat opposition.”
Morales-Ortez is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

VIDEO: Erika Kirk endorses JD Vance for president
Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk announced her endorsement of Vice President JD Vance for president in 2028 during her Thursday speech at the AmericaFest conference.
Vance will speak on Sunday at the conference organized by Turning Point USA, the organization founded by Charlie Kirk in 2012.

“We’re gonna ensure that President Trump has Congress for all four years,” she said. “We are going to get my husband’s friend JD Vance elected for 48 in the most resounding way possible!”
The thousands at the conference in Phoenix, Arizona, responded with resounding applause.
Vance has not said if he’s running for president yet, but he’s seen as a prominent front-runner for the nomination.
“My attitude is, the American people elected me to be vice president,” he said in October. “I’m going to work as hard as I can to make the president successful over the next three years and three months, and if we get to a point where something else is in the offer, let’s handle it then.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, also considered a potential presidential candidate, said that he would support Vance if the vice president ran for the Oval Office.
“If JD Vance runs for president, he’s going to be our nominee, and I’ll be one of the first people to support him,” Rubio said to Vanity Fair.

Vance has said Kirk’s organization was pivotal in the re-election of Trump in 2024.
“So much of the success we’ve had in this administration traces directly to Charlie’s ability to organize and convene. He didn’t just help us win in 2024; he helped us staff the entire government,” he said.

‘Disastrous program’: Trump administration pauses ‘diversity’ visa Brown University shooter used to enter United States
The United States has paused a visa program after shocking details emerged in the Brown University shooting investigation.
Late Thursday night, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the pause of the DV1 program, a visa lottery system that the Brown University shooter, identified as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, reportedly used to obtain a green card.
‘At President Trump’s direction, I am immediately directing USCIS to pause the DV1 program to ensure no more Americans are harmed by this disastrous program.’
“The Brown University shooter, Claudio Manuel Neves Valente entered the United States through the diversity lottery immigrant visa program (DV1) in 2017 and was granted a green card. This heinous individual should never have been allowed in our country,” Secretary Noem said on X. “In 2017, President Trump fought to end this program, following the devastating NYC truck ramming by an ISIS terrorist, who entered under the DV1 program, and murdered eight people.”

Valente, who is also believed to be responsible for the recent slaying of an MIT physics professor, was found dead inside a storage facility Thursday night.
The DV1 program, also known as the Diversity Immigrant Visa program, makes up to 55,000 visas available to immigrants from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. The program is “random and blind to the number of family members who might immigrate with the selectee,” according to the State Department website.
The 2026 visa lottery drew from 20,822,624 applicants from over 170 counties all around the world, according to State Department statistics.
The top 10 countries, from highest volume to lowest are: Egypt, Russia, Algeria, Ukraine, Sudan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kenya, Nepal, and Morocco. Other countries that broke 3,000 are Cameroon, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey.

Jennifer Lawrence admits she can’t separate her politics from movies: ‘That’s how I’m digesting the world’
Actress Jennifer Lawrence says her creativity and politics are inherently intertwined.
Lawrence revealed her thoughts during a discussion with fellow Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
‘Maybe she didn’t know that I was on an Ambien.’
Brain trust
Lawrence, 35, and DiCaprio, 51, appeared on Variety’s “Actors on Actors” segment, with the duo discussing their pasts as child actors, upcoming films, and briefly, politics as it pertains to their art.
DiCaprio was discussing his 2025 political film, “One Battle After Another,” when Lawrence asked about bringing politics into the movie industry.
“I think that the creative part of my brain and the political part of my brain are intrinsically linked,” Lawrence prefaced. “Like, I keep finding, like, every time I come up with, like, a movie or, like, it’s more often than not political.”
“I think it’s ’cause that’s how I’m, like, digesting the world. Are you like that?” she asked DiCaprio.
“No,” DiCaprio plainly replied.
Lawrence attempted to move on to another question, but the “Titanic” star was eager to explain why.

Stating that his latest film feels “very topical,” DiCaprio said it is “very difficult to say something about the world we live in” on film.
“It has to have an element of irony or comedy to it; otherwise people — they’re not allowed in. … And it feels like, ‘Oh, I’m watching these people’s vocation and, you know, do I relate to them?'” he explained.
DiCaprio tacked on, “There’s all those political films of the ’70s: ‘The Parallax View,’ ‘Three Days of the Condor,’ ‘All the President’s Men.’ And they were taken very seriously. But nowadays, it feels like there’s such polarity and such extremism that if you pick a side, you’re alienating.”
Pillow talk
Later in the interview, Lawrence had more strange anecdotes that seemed to paralyze the veteran actor. She soon brought up the fact that both she and DiCaprio are “obsessive about sleep” when filming a movie, before reciting some of her on-set drug follies.
DiCaprio seemingly played along, smiling and laughing at times, but clearly had nothing to add.
“I took an Adderall instead of a sleeping pill,” Lawrence said, as DiCaprio smirked. “And then I didn’t sleep all night, and I was taking hot showers, panicking, because I am not somebody who can function without sleep. … I also once took an Ambien in the morning, thinking it was something else,” she continued.
“Wow. Those are key screwups,” the leading man laughed in response.
“Elizabeth Banks got really annoyed with me,” Lawrence said about her Ambien usage on the set of “Hunger Games.”
She continued, “Maybe she didn’t know that I was on an Ambien.”
DiCaprio simply put his head down and laughed, without responding.

Sigourney who?
Lawrence has made interesting claims during sit-downs on the same program before, including in December 2022 when she claimed she was the first female lead of an action movie.
Also on Variety’s “Actors on Actors,” Lawrence told Viola Davis:
“I remember when I was doing ‘Hunger Games,’ nobody had ever put a woman in the lead of an action movie because it wouldn’t work. We were told, girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead.”
Sigourney Weaver (“Alien”), Uma Thurman (“Kill Bill”), and Milla Jovovich (countless “Resident Evil” films) could not be reached for comment.
Liberals blame Trump for Netflix canceling pro-LGBTQ military series
A series about a closeted gay soldier in the military during the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” era of the 1990s has been canceled by Netflix after being previously criticized by the Pentagon.
“Boots” was about a gay Louisiana teen named Cameron Cope who “finds new purpose — and unexpected brotherhood — with his motley team of fellow recruits,” as described by Netflix.

The series lasted only one season and had been lambasted by officials of the Trump administration in a statement to Entertainment Weekly in October.
“Under President Trump and Secretary [Pete] Hegseth, the U.S. military is getting back to restoring the warrior ethos. Our standards across the board are elite, uniform, and sex-neutral because the weight of a rucksack or a human being doesn’t care if you’re a man, a woman, gay, or straight,” said Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson.
“[The military] will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children,” Wilson added.
Many online blamed President Donald Trump for the cancellation.
“Boots was critically and commercially successful, but because the President and his Secretary of Defense are such man baby snowflakes who are mad gay service men are more manly than they’ll ever be Netflix cancelled the show so they could get the WB merger to go through,” said one person on the X platform.
“It’s clear #BOOTS is getting canned so Netflix doesn’t offend the big nasty bitch living in the White House, which might make him get in the way of their Warner Bros purchase. We are truly living in an era of censorship and spineless bootlicking,” another detractor said.

“Netflix has cancelled their show Boots after 1 season. … Despite a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes & making it to #2 on Netflix, they’d rather lick Trump’s balls to get their merger approved,” another message reads.
The series is based on the memoir titled “The Pink Marine” by Greg Cope White. The show was highly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, with 90% approval and a 7.9 rating on IMDB.

Trump announces ‘Patriot Games’ high school athletic competition for 250th anniversary of founding
President Donald Trump said the 250th anniversary celebration of the U.S. founding will include “Patriot Games” between high school athletes.
The president made the announcement in a video posted to social media on Thursday that also listed several other events and structures planned for the national celebration.
‘Frankly, you’ll never see anything like it.’
“In the fall, we will host the first-ever Patriot Games, an unprecedented four-day athletic event featuring the greatest high school athletes,” Trump said.
“One young man and one young woman from each state and territory, but I promise, there will be no men playing in women’s sports,” he added. “You’re not going to see that. You’ll see everything but that.”
He said that construction would begin on the “National Garden of American Heroes” that would include “statues of all-time greatest Americans,” as well as a “triumphal” arch.
“We are the only major city, we are the only major capitol, we are the only major place without a triumphal arch, a beautiful triumphal arch, one like in Paris, where they have the great and beautiful arch — they call it the Arc de Triomphe,” he added. “And we’re gonna have one in Washington, D.C., very soon.”
The administration is also organizing a “Great American State Fair” that will include exhibits from each of the states on the National Mall. That event will run from June 25 until July 10.
“Frankly, you’ll never see anything like it, and you’ll never see anything like it again,” he added.
A new public-private partnership called Freedom 250 was formed for the purpose of planning and funding the events, and it includes companies and corporations across the country.

“This will be a time like you’ve never had in your lives!” he concluded. “America 250! Thank you! I love you all.”
Critics of the Patriot Games mocked the idea as being far too similar to the “Hunger Games” books and movies series.

LA Rams star apologizes for agreeing to perform offensive gesture in touchdown dance
A star wide receiver on the Los Angeles Rams football team has apologized for agreeing to make an anti-Semitic gesture for a touchdown celebration.
During a livestream, Puka Nacua was persuaded by personality Adin Ross to perform a gesture that refers to a trope and meme meant to smear Jewish people. He also agreed to repeat the dance at the next Rams game.

Nacua faced an immediate barrage of criticism that led to his posting an apology on social media Thursday.
“When I appeared the other day on a social media livestream, it was suggested to me to perform a specific movement as part of my next touchdown celebration,” wrote Nacua on his Instagram account.
“At the time, I had no idea this act was antisemitic in nature and perpetrated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people,” he added. “I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people.”
The incident comes at a time when the Jewish community is reeling from a horrific terror attack in Australia that took the lives of more than a dozen people and is being investigated as motivated by anti-Semitism.
Among those who condemned Nacua was Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California.
“The Los Angeles Jewish community is on edge after the Bondi Beach massacre,” he wrote on social media. “And what does this asshole @AsapPuka do? He promises an antisemitic touchdown dance for his Thursday night game.”
Swalwell added, “He should apologize or be dropped.”
Others said if Nacua did the gesture during the game, he should be suspended by the NFL.

The NFL and the Los Angeles Rams also released statements condemning the offensive gesture.
Nacua and the Rams will play on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Each team has a record of 11 victories and only three losses for the season.
