The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the University of the Philippines – Los Baños (UPLB) are exploring the possibility of another rental housing project under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
More abducted Nigerian students have been released, police say
YENAGOA – More Nigerian children abducted last month from a Catholic school in Niger state have been released, state police said on Sunday, following one of the country”s biggest mass kidnappings of recent years. “I can confirm that they have been released, but we will only do the head count tomorrow to ascertain the number of those released,” Wasiu Abiodun, Niger state police command told Reuters.
France to build new aircraft carrier, Macron tells troops based in Gulf
PARIS – President Emmanuel Macron confirmed on Sunday plans to build a new, larger and more modern aircraft carrier to replace the ageing Charles de Gaulle carrier and strengthen France”s maritime power. The programme, known as “Porte-Avions Nouvelle Génération” (PANG), is predicted to cost around 10.25 billion euros ($12 billion).
US pursuing third oil tanker near Venezuela, officials say
The U.S. Coast Guard is pursuing an oil tanker in international waters near Venezuela, officials told Reuters on Sunday, in what would be the second such operation this weekend and the third in less than two weeks if successful.

Cambodia says Thai border clashes displace over half a million

PHNOM PENH – More than half a million people in Cambodia have been displaced by two weeks of deadly border clashes with neighbouring Thailand, Phnom Penh said Sunday, ahead of regional talks aimed at easing tensions. The renewed fighting between the Southeast Asian neighbours this month, including with tanks, drones and artillery, has killed at least 22 people in Thailand and 19 in Cambodia, officials said.
