In a statement on Facebook, the moderate Democrat said the backlash from his constituents — paired with the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Alex Pretti by a Border Patrol officer — has compelled him…

Trump ‘reviewing everything’ following Minneapolis shooting
President Trump declined to say Sunday whether the Border Patrol agent who fatally shot 37-year-old Alex Pretti in a Minneapolis shooting this week did the right thing, saying his administration is “reviewing everything” and will reach a conclusion. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the president did not answer directly when asked twice whether he thinks the agent acted appropriately, even as members of his administration…
Bill Clinton on Minneapolis shooting: ‘The people in charge have lied to us’
Former President Bill Clinton accused the Trump administration of lying to the American people about the shootings that have taken place in Minneapolis at the hands of federal immigration officers. In a statement Sunday, the Democratic former president fiercely condemned the “horrible scenes” in Minneapolis “that I never thought would take place in America.” “People, including children, have been seized from their homes, workplaces, and the…

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) on Sunday called for a thorough investigation into the latest fatal shooting involving a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent in Minneapolis, saying the American people are entitled to that “basic standard” of accountability from law enforcement. “There must be a thorough and impartial investigation into yesterday’s Minneapolis shooting, which is the basic standard…
‘If they don’t …’ DHS doubles self-deport bonus — and warns those illegal aliens who don’t ‘take advantage of this gift’

As the Trump administration celebrates one year in office, the Department of Homeland Security made a big announcement for its CBP Home App program in a bid to keep the deportation numbers high.
In a Wednesday press release, DHS announced that it will be increasing the self-deportation stipend the American taxpayer has been paying illegal aliens to self-deport.
‘Illegal aliens should take advantage of this gift and self-deport because if they don’t, we will find them, we will arrest them, and they will never return.’
The stipend will increase from $1,000 to $2,600. DHS’ offer also covers the airline ticket price and forgiveness of any civil fines or penalties for failing to leave the country.
“Since January 2025, 2.2 million illegal aliens have voluntarily self-deported and tens of thousands have used the CBP Home program. To celebrate one year of this administration, the U.S. taxpayer is generously increasing the incentive to leave voluntarily for those in this country illegally — offering a $2,600 exit bonus,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

“Illegal aliens should take advantage of this gift and self-deport because if they don’t, we will find them, we will arrest them, and they will never return,” Noem continued.
DHS explained in the press release that an enforced deportation costs a little over $18,000. With the new offer, the burden on the U.S. taxpayer for a voluntary self-deportation is substantially lessened, dropping to just over $5,000.
The department also claimed that the Trump administration finished its first year with over 675,000 deportations, though more specific breakdowns of the data have been difficult to obtain.
“Those illegal aliens who don’t take advantage of this special offer today have only one alternative: They will be arrested, deported, and they will never be able to return to the United States,” DHS said. “The smart and simple thing to do is to start planning your trip home through CBP Home today.”

Trump DHS sets the record straight after left-wing critics accuse ICE of dragging ‘half-naked’ American from his home

Critics of President Donald Trump’s administration accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers of dragging an American citizen with no criminal history from his home over the weekend.
Videos circulated on social media of a raid in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday, appearing to show federal agents escorting an elderly man from his home, through the snow, and into a federal vehicle. The handcuffed man was wearing only shorts and Crocs, with a blanket draped over his shoulders.
‘Both of these sexual predators remain AT LARGE in St. Paul.’
Reuters reported that his family requested a Hmong interpreter.
“Marching half-naked elderly people out into the snow, your tax dollars at work,” columnist Jill Filipovic wrote.
Political commentator Ed Krassenstein called the Trump administration “disgusting,” adding that the man detained by federal agents was a “U.S. citizen with no criminal record.”

“Armed ICE agents broke down the door without presenting a valid warrant, entered with guns drawn, and handcuffed him in front of his 5-year-old grandson, who was left crying and traumatized,” Krassenstein said.
“ICE then drove him around for nearly an hour, questioned and fingerprinted him, confirmed he was a citizen and not the person they were looking for… and dropped him back at home. No apology. No explanation. No accountability.”
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin described Krassenstein’s post as “fear mongering,” explaining that ICE was attempting to arrest two convicted sex offenders.

“One of the criminal targets had convictions for sex with a minor and sexual assault. The other target had convictions for sex assault with penetration in the first degree, domestic violence, and violating a protective order. Both also have convictions for failure to register as sex offenders. They both have final orders of removal from an immigration judge,” McLaughlin wrote.
“The US citizen,” McLaughlin continued, presumably referring to the man detained in the video, “lives with these two convicted sex offenders at the site of the operation.”
“The individual refused to be fingerprinted or facially ID’d. He matched the description of the targets. As with any law enforcement agency, it is standard protocol to hold all individuals in a house of an operation for safety of the public and law enforcement,” McLaughlin added. “Both of these sexual predators remain AT LARGE in St. Paul. We will be providing the public with photos and descriptors to help us locate and apprehend these public safety threats.”

OFF THE STREETS: DHS Shares Some of the Worst of the Worst Arrested in Walz’s Minnesota

‘You’re a left-wing hack!’ Karoline Leavitt rips journalist over ‘biased’ ICE claims

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt torched a “left-wing” reporter who challenged the administration’s defense of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Niall Stanage, a White House columnist for The Hill, asked Leavitt to defend Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s remarks claiming ICE is “doing everything correctly.” Stanage pointed to the shooting of Renee Good that has engulfed the media, as well as deaths and alleged improper detainments over the last year.
‘You should be reporting on the facts.’
“Secretary Noem spoke to the media and she said, among other things, that they are doing everything correctly,” Stanage said. “32 people died in ICE custody last year, 170 U.S. citizens were detained by ICE, and Renee Good was shot in the head and killed by an ICE agent. How does that equate to them doing everything correctly?”
“Why was Renee Good unfortunately and tragically killed?” Leavitt returned.

🔥STRAIGHT FIRE FROM @PressSec:
“You’re a left-wing hack. You’re not a reporter. You’re posing in this room as a journalist… You and the people in the media who have such biases but fake like you’re a journalist — you shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat.” pic.twitter.com/CtYTcCymtl

Leavitt sparred with Stanage, noting that he intentionally withheld figures that outline successful deportations of illegal aliens and the removal of violent criminals from America.
“Because an ICE agent acted recklessly,” Stanage replied.
“Oh, okay! So you’re a biased reporter with a left-wing opinion,” Leavitt said.
“You’re a left-wing hack! You’re not a reporter. You’re posing in this room as a journalist, and it’s so clear by the premise of your question.”
“You and the people in the media who have such biases but fake like you’re a journalist, you shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat. But you’re pretending like you’re a journalist, but you’re a left-wing activist, and the question that you just raised and your answer proves your bias. You should be reporting on the facts.”

Leavitt grilled Stanage for failing to name the innocent Americans who were killed by illegal aliens, doubling down and defending ICE’s role in deporting violent criminals.
“Do you have the numbers of how many American citizens were killed at the hands of illegal aliens who ICE is trying to remove from this country? I bet you don’t,” Leavitt said. “I bet you didn’t even read up on those stories. I bet you never even read about Laken Riley or Jocelyn Nungaray or all of the innocent Americans who were killed at the hands of illegal aliens in this country.”
“The brave men and women of ICE are doing everything in their power to remove those heinous individuals and make our communities safer. And shame on people like you in the media who have a crooked view and have a biased view and pretend like you’re a real honest journalist.”
