Trump team calls out ‘depravity’ of Jimmy Kimmel’s response to lethal ICE shooting
Jimmy Kimmel used the lethal shooting of a woman by a federal agent in Minneapolis to blame President Donald Trump, and the White House fired back a response.
Kimmel aired the expletive-filled statement from Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey calling on Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to leave the city and cease operations.

“I know what they’re doing. They’re trying out a new slogan!” Kimmel said as he held up a red T-shirt.
“Donald J. Trump is gonna kill you,” the shirt reads.
“This maniac, he isn’t just killing people overseas. An ICE agent today shot and killed an unarmed 37-year-old woman during an ICE operation in Minneapolis,” he continued. “They’re there under the guise of protecting us.”
He criticized Trump for his statement describing the incident and then showed his audience video of Frey’s response.
“They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly: That is bulls**t! This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed,” Frey said at a press conference.
“And I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get the f**k out of Minneapolis!” he also said.
Kimmel added, “Now that is the shirt I want to see!” and held up a shirt that reads, “GET THE F**K OUT OF MPLS.”
Video of Kimmel’s comments was widely shared on social media and criticized by the Rapid Response account of the Trump team.
“Jimmy Kimmel pushes the narrative that President Trump is ordering ICE to kill Americans,” the account said. “Why is ABC allowing such sick depravity on their network?”
Kimmel’s show had been previously canceled after controversial comments he made about the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The show was eventually reinstated after a few days.
The woman killed in the ICE shooting was identified as Colorado native Renee Nicole Macklin Good. Anti-ICE critics dispute the account from the Department of Homeland Security that she was trying to run over officers when she swerved and accelerated her vehicle.

‘You should be ashamed’: Vance fires back at media for forgetting key details about Minnesota ICE shooting
At a Thursday press briefing at the White House, Vice President JD Vance had some choice words for the corporate media, which have been caught leaving out key details about the fatal ICE shooting in Minneapolis — especially the context for the agent involved.
Vance was referring to the deportation operation that turned deadly on Wednesday after an ICE officer was forced to defend himself from an aggravated driver. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Macklin Good, was fatally shot by the ICE agent.

The incident may have sparked a sense of déjà vu for the agent since this wasn’t his first brush with vehicular violence while on the job. Video evidence emerged of a similar attack involving the same agent from June.
Addressing a slanted headline from CNN — which he read as: “Outrage after ICE officer kills U.S. citizen in Minneapolis” — Vance said at the press briefing, “Everybody who has been repeating the lie that this is some innocent woman who was out for a drive in Minneapolis when a law enforcement officer shot at her — you should be ashamed of yourselves. Every single one of you.”
“What that headline leaves out is the fact that that very ICE officer nearly had his life ended, dragged by a car six months ago, 33 stitches in his leg. So you think maybe he’s a little bit sensitive about somebody ramming him with an automobile?” Vance asked.
“What that headline leaves out is that that woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation in the United States of America,” Vance added angrily. “What that headline leaves out is that that woman is part of a broader left-wing network to attack, to doxx, to assault, and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job.”
“If the media wants to tell the truth, they ought to tell the truth that a group of left-wing radicals have been working tirelessly, sometimes using domestic terror techniques, to try to make it impossible for the president of the United States to do what the American people elected him to do, which is enforce our immigration laws,” he added.
“The way that the media, by and large, has reported this story has been an absolute disgrace, and it puts our law enforcement officers at risk every single day.”
Blaze News could not find a CNN article that matched the headline read by Vance, though the outlet has published many articles about the incident, including “What we know about ICE’s fatal shooting of a US citizen in Minneapolis” and “Mother of 3 who loved to sing and write poetry shot and killed by ICE in Minneapolis.”

Sign at McDonald’s in Minneapolis: No ICE agents allowed!
A McDonald’s restaurant location in Minneapolis has a sign outside restricting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from entering.
An image of the sign was posted to social media and confirmed by a Daily Wire reporter who spoke to a security guard outside of the location.
‘At the end of the day, this is private property, so you can’t just break the law because you’re a federal agent.’
“NO ICE ACCESS IN THIS BUSINESS,” the sign reads. “NOTICE TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT & IMMIGRATION AGENTS.”
The sign went on to say that workers would not accept ICE administrative warrants for entry into the business.
“This is a private business,” the sign said. “You are not permitted to enter non-public areas of this business (including offices, break rooms, storage areas, and staff-only areas) without a valid JUDICIAL WARRANT signed by a judge or magistrate.”
The sign also forbids agents from questioning employees or searching the premises without “proper legal authority.”
It added in capital letters, “If you enter, you are trespassing, and we will seek legal recourse.”
When a Daily Wire reporter went to the location, a security guard said he was there to enforce the restaurant’s ban.
“Yeah, just to let you know, at the end of the day, this is private property. So you can’t just break the law because you’re a federal agent,” said the guard. “It’s like coming into your house or coming to any other restaurant. There’s rules.”
McDonald’s USA released a statement via email to Blaze News saying they had contacted the owner of the franchise.
“We’re in touch with the owner/operator of this franchised restaurant and have confirmed that this flyer was posted without approval and has since been taken down,” reads the statement from the company.
The company also confirmed that the owner/operator had reiterated the company’s policies to the restaurant team about what signage was appropriate.
A similar controversy erupted at a Minneapolis-area Hampton Inn by Hilton after the Department of Homeland Security reported on social media that agents had their reservations canceled.
Hilton Hotels eventually dropped the hotel location from its system after releasing a statement to Blaze Media saying that location was independently owned and was not living up to its standards.

‘Reckoning day’ for Newsom: Trump DOT yanks $160 million over illegal trucker licenses
As the Trump administration continues to meet resistance from blue-state governors across the nation, California is now reaping what it sowed by illegally issuing trucker licenses to foreigners.
On Wednesday, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced that it was “reckoning day” for the state of California and its Democrat governor, Gavin Newsom.

In a social media post, Duffy explained the Trump administration’s “demands”: “Follow the rules. Revoke the unlawfully-issued licenses to dangerous foreign drivers. Fix the system so this never happens again.”
Duffy’s post comes after months of demanding that California revoke commercial driver’s licenses illegally issued to foreigners. Duffy provided a short video showing that Newsom had many opportunities to comply with federal law.

However, “Gavin refused,” Duffy said. “So now I am pulling nearly $160 MILLION from California. Under @POTUS, federal dollars won’t fund this CHARADE.”
The funding will be withheld from California beginning in fiscal year 2027.
California agreed in November to revoke every illegally issued license within 60 days. As of the January 5, 2026, deadline, California has failed to follow through on this agreement, leading to the major withholding of federal funding.
At least 17,000 licenses were expected to be revoked on Monday, per the original agreement.
According to a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration audit reviewed by Fox News, more than 20,000 active non-domiciled CDLs were issued in violation of federal rules. The FMCSA reportedly described the situation in California as a “systemic collapse” of the commercial licensing program.
“Federal regulations are clear: states must correct safety deficiencies on a schedule mutually agreed upon by the agency, and California failed to meet its commitment to rescind these unlawfully issued licenses by January 5,” FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs said, according to Fox News.
“We will not accept a corrective plan that knowingly leaves thousands of drivers holding noncompliant licenses behind the wheel of 80,000-pound trucks in open defiance of federal safety regulations,” Barrs added.
California DMV spokesperson Eva Spiegel responded to the loss of federal funding in a statement: “We strongly disagree with the federal government’s decision to withhold vital transportation funding from California — their action jeopardizes public safety because these funds are critical for maintaining and improving the roadways we all rely on every day.”

Anna Paulina Luna refers Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison for criminal charges: ‘May justice be swift’
Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida said she referred the Democratic governor and attorney general in Minnesota to the Department of Justice for criminal charges.
Luna said the action was the result of testimony provided before the Oversight Committee that was evidence of Democratic officials being complicit in fraud schemes in the Somali community.

“Based on testimony today, I have enough evidence to believe both [Gov. Tim Walz] and [Attorney General Keith Ellison] were knowingly complicit in a Somali fraud scheme in Minnesota,” she wrote on social media Wednesday.
“Therefore I have referred them BOTH to the DOJ for criminal charges,” she added. “May justice be swift. The American people are tired of being taken advantage of.”
Luna posted a video from questioning from the hearing where she asserted that Walz had known about the large-scale fraud as early as 2017 and 2018 but did little to address the scams.
She went on to say that they should be investigated for possibly violating laws against criminalized conspiracies to defraud the United States.
“Attorney General Ellison agreed on tape to fight Minnesota’s own department of human and health services in exchange for Somali political and financial support,” Luna said.
Minnesota state Rep. Kristin Robbins (R) testified that Walz had allowed the fraud to grow under his watch.
“Tim Walz and his administration have willfully turned a blind eye to crime, in the face of countless whistleblower and auditor reports, as well as stories by local investigative journalists and Bill Glahn, a fellow at Center of the American Experiment,” Robbins said. “These are actual crimes that must be punished. They are crimes against our moral values that erode trust in government. Governor Walz has known about fraud for years and failed to act.”

Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) had previously called on Walz and Ellison to provide “documents, communications, and records” to the committee related to the fraud. They are also called to testify before the committee in February.
Walz has announced that he would not seek a third term in a re-election campaign after his current term ends. Many suspect the growing scrutiny over the fraud allegations forced him to make the decision.
“Minnesota’s Corrupt Governor will possibly leave office before his Term is up but, in any event, will not be running again because he was caught, REDHANDED, along with Ilhan Omar, and others of his Somali friends, stealing Tens of Billions of Taxpayer Dollars,” President Donald Trump responded on social media.

Tim Walz says Minnesota is ‘at war’ with the federal government after fatal ICE shooting
Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz accused the federal government of being at war with his state after the fatal shooting during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation.
Tensions with the Trump administration escalated sharply Wednesday when an ICE agent shot a woman who appeared to be interrupting their operation with her vehicle. Video shows her swerving into an agent, who fired at her and killed her.
‘Minnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight. We will not take the bait.’
Walz blamed the Trump administration for the shooting by claiming the increased immigration enforcement actions were unnecessary.
“I said this yesterday, we’ve never been at war with our federal government,” the governor said during a media briefing.
He went on to suggest that he would order the Minnesota National Guard to oppose the federal government.
“We do not need any further help from the federal government. To Donald Trump and Kristi Noem: You’ve done enough. There’s nothing more important than Minnesotans’ safety,” he said.
“I’ve issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard. We have soldiers in training and prepared to be deployed if necessary. I remind you, a warning order is a heads-up for folks,” he added.
“These National Guard troops are our National Guard troops,” he emphasized. “They’re teachers in your community, they’re business owners, they’re construction professionals. They are Minnesotans. Minnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight. We will not take the bait.”
Homeland Security Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin had previously blamed Democratic rhetoric for the shooting.
“This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement,” she said. “These men and women who are simply enforcing the law on the books are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.”
Other Democrats are using the shooting to call for the federal government to pull officers out of Minnesota.
“I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get the f**k out of Minneapolis!” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) said during an earlier media briefing.
“We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite,” he added. “People are being hurt. Families are being ripped apart. Long-term Minneapolis residents that have contributed so greatly to our city, to our culture, to our economy are being terrorized, and now somebody is dead.”
